A MAIDA VALE man (31) will face Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow on driving charges after allegedly failing to stop for police today.

WA Police spokesman Samuel Dinnison said during the March 29 incident, a vehicle failed to stop for police in Maida Vale.

He said police arrested two people who had been in the car after it was abandoned in Northam.

They charged the 31-year-old man with having no authority to drive, failing to stop, reckless driving, driving an unlicensed vehicle with false plates and breaching bail.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on March 30.

The second man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was released without charge.
