TWO men are due to face court over more than 30kg of illegal drugs that were allegedly found in their truck in Perth.
Police say they seized about 19kg of methylamphetamine, 10kg of ecstasy and 2kg of cocaine from the cabin area of the truck when it was stopped on Great Eastern Highway on Christmas Eve.
The cabin area of the truck was searched and it will be alleged numerous drug related items were located.
The two men, 33 and 46, were refused bail when they faced Perth Magistrates Court two days later and will face the same court today.
Detective Superintendent of Organised Crime Tony Longhorn said the seizure represents a significant disruption to an established criminal network.
“A seizure of this nature provides law enforcement agencies across Australia with valuable intelligence regarding the more senior members of the established criminal network, and that intelligence will be further examined and acted on,” he said.
