The group, which has been going from strength to strength since it was established in 2010, held a low-key gathering over a cuppa at the Bellevue Baptist Church this week.

Key guests in attendance, in addition to members, included Midland MLA Michelle Roberts, four City of Swan councillors, WA Men’s Shed Association state chairman Mike Wiggin and members from the Mundaring, Kalamunda, Jewish Care and Gosnells Men’s Sheds.

The club’s membership increased 54 per cent throughout the 2013-14 financial year, with 74 now signed up to the group.

It was the most popular year to date, with a total attendance of 2224 in the past 12 months, averaging a weekly attendance of 56.

Tuesday attendance peaked one week with 56 people attending in one day.

The group is working on expanding and moving to new premises next to Cornwell House on Great Eastern Highway, which the Anglican Diocese will provide free.
