NATIVE animals inspired students from two schools to create a picture book with text written in two languages.

Moorditj Noongar Community College teamed with Year 10 students from Helena College to design a book for pre-primary and Year 1 classes.

They chose the theme, researched their topic and together drew an illustration of each animal.

Students named the book Do you see what I see? Noona Djinang Naadj-ak Ngan Djinang?.

A set of 35 of the books were presented to the Moorditj Noongar Community College last Friday.

Helena College students Jasmine Loly, Kate Smith and Summer Ash handed out copies of the book to younger students.

Jasmine said the children were proud of what they had accomplished with the books.
