Motorcyclist Dies in Gidgegannup Crash in Perth’s Hills

POLICE want the public’s help in relation to a fatal crash that occurred in Gidgegannup this morning.

About 7.58am on January 13, a grey Yamaha Motorcycle was travelling west on Toodyay Road near Mayo Road.

WA Police Senior Constable Mick Slaughter said the motorcycle veered across the east bound lane, down an embankment and crashed into a wooden fence.

“The rider, a 67-year-old man from Morangup was treated at the scene by St John Ambulance officers,” he said.

“He was taken to St John of God Midland Public Hospital, where he later died.

“Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the grey Yamaha motorcycle prior to the crash or the crash itself.”
