25-year-old motorcyclist killed in Mundaring crash

MAJOR Crash officers are investigating after a 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed in Mundaring yesterday.

About 3.30pm, a black Honda motorcycle was travelling east on Mundaring Weir Road near Hall Road and a silver Toyota Hilux was travelling in the same direction.

The motorcycle overtook the Toyota and in doing so clipped the Toyota causing the rider to lose control and enter a gravel verge on the right hand side of the road.

The motorcyclist headed back on to road into the path of an oncoming grey Holden Club Sport and the two vehicles collided.

The motorcyclist received critical injuries from the crash and died at the scene.

The drivers of the other vehicles did not receive any injuries.

Major Crash officers would like to speak to anyone or saw the crash or either the Honda motorcycle, Toyota Hilux or Holden Club Sport prior to the crash.
