Fuelwatch is advising Perth motorists to fill up on their way home on Monday evening, to avoid a price hike of about 11 cents per litre on unleaded petrol.

On Tuesday, most BP sites will increase the price of unleaded to 139.9 cents per litre, an increase of 17 cents.

Most Caltex and Coles Express stations, meanwhile, are putting prices up to 131.9 cents per litre, while Puma and Caltex Woolworths sites will be on 130.9 cents.

According to Fuelwatch, Perth’s cheapest petrol prices are usually found on a Sunday and Monday, and are at their most expensive on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

Fuelwatch said there will still be more than 35 sites selling below 118 cents per litre on Tuesday.
