Mundaring: bushfire recovery a priority after workshop

MUNDARING Shire co-hosted a workshop to reinforce bushfire recovery as a priority in the region.

The recent seminar with Perth NRM is part of the sustainability group’s professional development in environmental management series.

Mundaring Shire environment and sustainability co-ordinator Briony Moran said the seminar was designed to build knowledge and skills of those involved in post-bushfire recovery, restoration and conservation in the Swan region.

“The discussion covered many aspects of post-bushfire recovery including weed control, native animal recovery and managing the movement of machinery and people on site after the fire is out,” she said.
