MUNDARING Police caught teenagers allegedly attempting a getaway on foot with goods stolen from a house in Greenmount Rise yesterday.

Two officers were driving by when they saw a man wheeling a suitcase in Scott Street, towards the bridle path near Astroloma Place.

Mundaring officer-in-charge Sergeant Jeff Taylor said a second man carrying cooler bags ran off when he saw the officers.

Midland Detectives assisted in the chase and recovered $2000 worth of valuables, alcohol and cash.

Kyle Turner (18) of Midvale and a 17-year-old from Koongamia were charged with stealing, aggravated burglary and committing an offence.

The pair are due to appear in Midland Magistrates Court today.
