A 27-year-old man charged with two counts of wilfully lighting a bush fire including one in Darlington will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Stephen Kenneth Sherwood, of Narembeen, allegedly lit a small scrub fire near the entry to the Graham Farmer Freeway between 6.30pm and 7pm on Thursday, March 8.
Department of Fire and Emergency Services officers extinguished the fire and Mr Sherwood was taken to hospital for assessment.

The fire spread and burnt about 8093sq m of land.
DFES officers extinguished the fire and police took Mr Sherwood into custody.
He first appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday.
