A NORTHAM resident has come forward to claim the third and final $2 million prize in a Superdraw held over two weeks ago.

The winner said the windfall would provide ‘relief’ after living on income support.

“I’ve just become debt free. Now the little things that mean a lot won’t be out of reach,” he said.

The long-time public servant said the win would not change his everyday life.

“I recently thought about buying a car and was going to get a second hand one, but now I can skip that hassle and get a new one. Maybe get a caravan too,” he said.

“I’ll also look into doing some renovations to my small property, including extending my workshop, as well as donating to charities that I already support.”

The winner checked his ticket after Lotterywest contacted him.

“Thanks to being registered as a Lotterywest member, my misplaced ticket was able to be verified,” he said.

WA’s Lotto luck continued at the weekend with two Division One winners in Saturday night’s Lotto draw.

The winning tickets, which each hold $672,883, sold at Media Lottery Centre & News in Cannington and Market City Lotteries & News in Canning Vale.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said WA had produced three Division One winners just two weeks into the new financial year.
