Northam man dies in farming accident near Beverley

A NORTHAM man died last night after being struck by a tractor on a Kokeby farm south of Beverley.

Police were called to the Dale Kokeby Road property about 9.25pm on Monday about a 60-year-old man involved in a workplace accident.

He had been trying to recover a bogged truck when he was hit by a tractor helping with the recovery.

The man died from his injuries despite CPR attempts by witnesses.

St John Ambulance and Department of Fire and Emergency Services also attended the scene.

Worksafe has been advised and will conduct an investigation.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
