HISTORIC train carriages enjoyed by generations of children will stay as part of a new playground in Glen Forrest.

Shire President Helen Dullard said the project had benefitted from significant input from the Glen Forrest Residents and Ratepayers Association.

“This Shire is delighted to be able to complete these upgrades at a significant and well-used reserve,” she said.

The first stage of the redevelopment will involve earthworks and subsoil drainage works.

“The project will be staged, and at times areas will be fenced for safety reasons,” Ms Dullard said.
