UPDATE: Police have released a statement saying missing Greenmount woman Margaret McCulloch returned home at about 2am this morning. She has been taken to hospital for a check-up.
EARLIER: POLICE are intensifying their search for a missing Greenmount grandmother (79) who has not been seen since she left her Scott Street home at about 6pm last night.
State Emergency Services volunteers and the canine unit are scouring the Greenmount National Park.

Margaret McCulloch is described as 163cm tall, of medium build, with grey hair and brown eyes. She has no known medical conditions.
She was wearing light fawn-coloured pants and possibly wearing denim slip-on shoes.
Police are appealing for anyone that has seen Margaret to call police immediately on 131 444.
The search will resume until last light tonight.
The carpark at Boya Library is being used as a base for the police search and rescue operation.
