Police release video in hunt for gunman from Darlington robbery

DETECTIVES investigating a Darlington armed robbery have released an identikit of the gunman.

They have also released CCTV footage of a Holden Commodore they believe he was in at the time of the crime on June 27.

He entered a Darlington food outlet about 6am, pointed a firearm at a staff member before demanding cash.

After escaping with money, he was seen getting into a yellow Holden Commodore, possibly a VY or VZ model (2003 – 2005) which had a black number plate with white writing.

The man had pink-coloured material covering his mouth and a dark baseball cap.

He is described as brown skinned, 30 to 40 years, about 175cm tall, with a thin build and long dark eyelashes.

Detectives have also released an image of a vehicle similar to the yellow Commodore.
