Police seeking information around fatal Mundaring crash

POLICE are continuing their investigation into a fatal crash in Mundaring yesterday that left one person dead and a child with serious injuries.

At about 3.20pm on Thursday, a 43-year-old male was driving a white 1999 model Subaru Liberty in a northerly direction on Mundaring Weir Road when he lost control of the car near Hall Road.

The sedan swerved off the road and rolled over before coming to a stop and landing on its roof.

The 43-year-old was critically injured and died at the scene.

A 10-year-old boy who was a passenger in the car received serious injuries and was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital via ambulance.

Major Crash officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or the Subaru Liberty in the Mundaring area before the crash occurred.
