Lynn GriersonHills Avon Valley Gazette

Team liaison Ashlea Owczarski-Moss said nine teams had registered so far, with a total of $1025 raised towards the goal of $95,000.

There are 137 days left until the next Avon Valley relay event at Northam Recreation Centre on March 19 to 20 next year.

“The committee would love to set a record of 20 teams to be involved,” Ms Owczarski-Moss said.

The relay celebrates the lives of cancer survivors and carers, and sends a message of hope to people recently diagnosed.
