The former St Barnabas’ Anglican Church is getting a new roof and the toilets are being renovated to provide access for people with mobility issues.

The western wall will also be re-aligned.

Shire of Kalamunda chief executive Rhonda Hardy said the roof needed replacing because of its age.

‘It was identified as a routine part of the shire’s asset management maintenance register,’ she said.

Ms Hardy said the works would not interfere with KADS’ latest production Breast Wishes: An Uplifting Musical, which began in February 21.

‘The roof is expected to be completed by the end of February,’ she said.

‘Through discussion with KADS the Shire is aware that Breast Wishes will continue as scheduled. The completion of works will not impact on the use of the theatre.’

Breast Wishes will run until March 15.

Tickets are $25, $22 concession, $28 Saturdays (includes fish and chips).
