Perth Hills-based Best Friends Animal Rescue is appealing for many pairs of hands for its first street appeal throughout the metro area on Friday, October 30.
Founder Jeane Howes said any time volunteers could spare would make a difference.
“We want to provide a calm and peaceful atmosphere for about 30 older dogs we are unable to re-home,” Ms Howes said.
The group has placed more than 700 dogs, mostly older pets, in homes over the past 10 years.
