Youth friendly events for Shire of Mundaring these summer holidays

The program, run by staff and volunteers, provides youth-friendly events for people aged 12-20 who live, work or attend school in the Shire of Mundaring.

“I’m the newest staff member and I’m loving it,” the 23-year-old said.

“I started my work placement in August last year then went on to volunteering regularly and never looked back.”

Ms Kirouac is working towards a Diploma in Youth Work and will complete her studies next year.

Seen and Heard volunteers hone their leadership, team building and communication skills by organising youth attractions funded by the Shire and delivered through Parkerville Children and Youth Care.

Notable diary dates for next month include a DJ party with sporting activities and beach games at Lake Leschenaultia, from 2pm-5pm on Tuesday, January 12.

More fun in the water is booked for Friday, January 15 from 3pm-6pm at the Mt Helena pool party, complete with prize games and a DJ.
