Shire embraces tech to connect

Shire of Mundaring President David Lavell said engaging youth in local government was important.

“Our youth of today are digital natives; they were born into the world of technology and it’s clear to see they readily embrace it,” he said.

“The Shire is keen to engage with them on platforms they are comfortable with and this includes Instagram.”

Cr Lavell said young people aged 13 to 18 were eligible to enter and be in with a chance to win a mini iPad.
