Shire of Mundaring teaming with Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council to host course on living waste-wise lifestyle

WISE up on how to live with less waste by participating in a free training initiative.

Shire of Mundaring is teaming with the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council to host a three-week course on practical ways to live a waste-wise lifestyle.

The Earth Carers Program in Mundaring consists of five sessions over three weeks, covering topics including composting and worm farming, green cleaning alternatives and tours of waste facilities.

Shire environment and sustainability co-ordinator Briony Moran said the program was a great way to educate the community about waste reduction options and improve recycling practices.

“Past participants have been really enthusiastic about the course and how much they learned in three weeks,” she said.

“There are just so many ways to reduce household waste, reduce your environmental footprint, and save money as well.”

The course will run on Thursday evenings at the Shire of Mundaring Administration Building from November 16 with two Saturday morning sessions.
