SHIRE of Mundaring will conduct a special council meeting on Tuesday , for key financial planning and reporting documents.
The long-term financial plan, corporate plan, annual budget and Shire’s integrated planning and reporting framework are all part of the scheduled business.
The documents place the community vision and values in the 10-year strategic community plan for Mundaring 2026 into action.
There will be a briefing at the special council meeting to provide more information on the aims and challenges which have influenced the plans.
Shire President David Lavell said the plans focussed on the long-term financial sustainability of the Shire.
“A number of the workshops held with elected members reviewed the plans in line with the community’s feedback and its expectations for continued service levels and infrastructure,” Cr Lavell said.
“Council is committed to meeting the above while creating a long term financial plan that will see the level of rates required to fund the services and infrastructure decrease over a period of time.”
Cr Lavell said the Shire was committed to balancing the community’s affordability concerns with expectations for continued levels of service and infrastructure.
The meeting will be held at 6.30pm at the Shire council chambers at 7000 Great Eastern Highway, Mundaring.
