WA barbecue connoisseur David Ong was among the 20 judges won over by the couple’s slow-cooked pulled pork, barbecued lamb, beef and pork ribs.
Along with the grand champion win, the couple came away with one silver and two bronze trophies in the WA championships.
They outshone 13 other finalists and hope to bring home the national title later this year.
