Soccer club helps charity reach goal

Perth Hills United Football Club in Mundaring teamed up with Brittany Mucciarone to raise more than $500 through donations and a sausage sizzle held last Sunday.

Ms Mucciarone officially launched her charity Face Up to MS this week ahead of World MS Day on Wednesday.

She said all three of the clubs senior teams got behind the cause by wearing red armbands and facepaint in support of the appeal.

The charity has a new Facebook page where Ms Mucciarone writes about the impact of her mothers diagnosis four years ago.

I soon realised there was no cure, nor was there anything I could do to make her life any easier other than giving her moral support, she said. She became involved with the MS Society two years ago and soon after came up with the idea for her charity.

I finally felt like I was starting to make a difference, not only to my mothers life, but for others who also suffer from this debilitating disease in the community.
