Perth Hills United Football Club in Mundaring teamed up with Brittany Mucciarone to raise more than $500 through donations and a sausage sizzle held last Sunday.

Ms Mucciarone officially launched her charity Face Up to MS this week ahead of World MS Day on Wednesday.

She said all three of the club's senior teams got behind the cause by wearing red armbands and facepaint in support of the appeal.

The charity has a new Facebook page where Ms Mucciarone writes about the impact of her mother's diagnosis four years ago.

"I finally felt like I was starting to make a difference, not only to my mother's life, but for others who also suffer from this debilitating disease in the community."
