Sound off on noise management plan for Shire of Kalamunda

RESIDENTS concerned about early morning waste collections are running out of time to make their views known.

The Shire of Kalamunda is asking for feedback on a noise management draft for specified works including waste collection.

The purpose of the plan is to describe how noise impact from pre-7am waste collections by Perthwaste Green Recycling will be minimised.

Shire chief executive Rhonda Harvey said the council had received a proposal from the waste-collection contractor.

“The Shire wishes to establish the overall view of the community prior to a final decision,” Ms Harvey said.

A copy of the proposed noise management plan is available from the Shire website or council offices in Railway Road.

Online submissions are encouraged and the deadline for all feedback is before 5pm on Friday, October 30.
