President Kate Williams said many children in Kalamunda began their education at the kindy, currently specialising in pre-school preparation for four year olds.

“It’s been a rewarding journey seeing so many happy faces passing through this place as a stepping stone into their future,” Ms Williams said.

“We hope to see many familiar as well as new faces at the community fun day tomorrow.”

A familiar face to look out for will be early childhood teacher Glenys Evans, of Carmel, who retired last year after 24 years of service.

“Spring Road is such a delightful place, a beautiful environment where great relationships with parents are formed,” Mrs Evans said.

“I have so many lovely memories to cherish and I was fortunate to work there for so long.”

The kindergarten is located at 1A Spring Road.
