Stoneville shooting: man arrested after shooting at dogs

A MAN is in custody after allegedly firing two gunshots in the direction of a Stoneville woman’s dogs on Wednesday night.

The 43-year-old man, also from Stoneville, has been charged with being armed to cause fear.

The woman went outside about 6.15pm to investigate why her dogs were barking.

It was then she encountered the man, who was not known to her.

He allegedly threatened to shoot the dogs before firing the gun twice towards the animals.

The dogs were uninjured, and the woman ran inside her home to call police.

The man will appear in Midland Magistrates Court on May 24.
