CHILDREN are being encouraged to take part in this year’s Trek the Trail in Chidlow for the chance to win a bike.

The Shire of Mundaring’s annual walking and cycling event showcases Lake Leschenaultia, taking place along a section of the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail.

There will be stalls and art activities at the lake and children can enter a colouring competition to win one of four bikes.

“Children simply have to colour in the picture on the front of the entry form, complete the details on the back and bring it along on the event day,” Shire president Helen Dullard said.

“Entries need to be placed in the competition box inside the Mundaring Community Bank Branch Bendigo Bank tent.”

Trek the Trail is on Sunday, September 20, with cyclists to start at 9am, runners at 9.15am and walkers between 9.30am-11am.
