ARIA-nominated Perth band San Cisco filmed the clip for their song Fred Astaire in the hall and it has met with great success.
They have been nominated for ARIAs in three categories: Best Video for Fred Astaire, Best Independent Release for San Cisco, and Best Pop Release for San Cisco.
City of Swan Mayor Charlie Zannino, said the hall featured mainly in the Fred Astaire film clip.

‘This clip showcases one of the City’s beautiful heritage assets, including the ornate balcony and jarrah floors.’
Midland ward councillor Mark Elliott, said the band had toured Europe and America in 2013.
‘They are doing interviews with publications in these countries and mentioning the town hall so we are now getting international exposure,’ he said.
‘With the Fred Astaire film clip nominated for Best Video, we’re hoping even more people will get to see this beautiful historic building.’
