This weekend’s York Motorcyle Festival has a range of activities and entertainment.

A free family concert will begin at 6.30pm tonight , with rock-soul band Boom Bap Pow on stage until 8.30pm.

The festival proper opens at 10am tomorrow (Sunday), with action from Yamaha stunt rider Dave McKenna, live music from the Badpiper, children’s activities and quad bike rides.

Festival charity ride participants, raising money for Wheels for Hope, will meet at 9am at Midland Gate shopping centre rear carpark. Riders will depart from 10am to York.

The ride costs $25 a rider and $15 a passenger.

Wheels for Hope’s primary focus is to assist WA families with disabilities who do not have suitable transport to access critical medical and remedial care, education and community events.

The group has a fleet of vehicles which it loans to eligible families.
