At a ceremony held last Friday, Mr Webber was presented with his award for leadership and excellence, and described as a "transformative" school leader.

The award citation said Mr Webber had focused on the development of school culture through multiple initiatives aimed at maximising student engagement and achievement.

"I was honoured and humbled to be recognised in this way by my peers through ACEL, which most significantly is directly due to the outstanding work of the dedicated staff at the school," he said.

Mr Webber is renowned for his open leadership style, an approach focusing on developing the skills, talents and abilities of others.
