Two people dead in separate crashes overnight

TWO people have died in separate crashes overnight.

Police attended one fatal crash on Great Eastern Highway in Sawyers Valley where the car left the road, rolled through bushland and caught on fire just after 11pm on Wednesday.

A passenger was trapped inside and died at the scene.

A 29-year-old man and 52-year-old woman also received non life-threatening injuries.

They were taken to Royal Perth Hospital condition where they remain in a stable condition.

About an hour earlier, police also attended a fatal crash 140km south of Port Hedland where a truck driver died after his road train left the road.

Police are calling on anyone with information or dash-cam footage from the moments leading up to the crashes to call 131 444.
