Valley votes for new faces

The shires of Toodyay and York welcomed new shire presidents, while Steven Pollard retained his presidency at the Shire of Northam.

Matthew Reid, who runs the York Pharmacy, replaced Tony Boyle as president of the Shire of York. Mr Boyle was also re-elected to the council.

In the Shire of Toodyay, David Dow replaced Kevin Hogg as president. John Hanson received no votes in East Ward. After missing the deadline to withdraw his candidacy, he requested that voters select Therese Chitty.
