Witnesses sought for fatal crash

MAJOR crash investigators are seeking witnesses to a fatal crash about 5.30am today on the Great Eastern Highway.

A Ford Falcon sedan travelling east through Grass Valley collided with a truck towing two trailers heading west in Muluckine, about 15kms east of Northam.

The 18-year-old Ford Falcon driver from Wooroloo died at the scene.

The 64-year-old Merredin driver of the prime mover received serious injuries.

He was airlifted by RAC rescue helicopter to Royal Perth Hospital.

A Royal Perth Hospital spokeswoman said the truck driver was in a serious but stable condition.
