Wooden poles on way out

More than 300 poles have already been retrieved, with about one third of those during a single power outage to minimise disruption to customers.

Another 300-odd poles are scheduled for replacement in the coming months as part of the largest single network upgrade for the area since it was constructed.

Western Power aims to complete most of the remaining work under ‘live wire’ conditions, resulting in minimal power outages.
