World’s Greatest Shave: Forrestfield girl chops off locks in memory of Kai

Lauren PedenHills Avon Valley Gazette

FORRESTFIELD seven-year-old Bailey Sycamore is rocking a shorter hairdo after braving the scissors for The World’s Greatest Shave last Saturday.

Bailey managed to raise $600 from family and school friends for the Leukaemia Foundation to help support families facing blood cancer and to fund vital research.

She wanted to take part in the shave after following the journey of three-year-old Averly boy Kai Nell on Facebook, who lost his battle with Leukaemia in January.

Devastated after hearing of his death, Bailey knew straight away that she wanted to help and aimed to raise $250, which she more than doubled.
