Wundowie man swaps FIFO life for Lotto life

AN Aveley woman is celebrating her big Lotto jackpot.

The woman in her 40s, who bought the Megadraw ticket from Nextra Express Ellenbrook, picked up $1.4 million.

There were four other million-dollar winners, leading a Forrestfield newsagent to declare the luck was with his customers.

A Wundowie FIFO worker bought his winning Lotto ticket from Fred Geb’s Forrestfield Marketplace News.

“I also sold a division 2 winner on the same evening to a different person worth $10,194,” owner Fred Geb said.

“The luck’s in Forrestfield. That was my 14th major prize win since I’ve been there.”

The Wundowie Megadraw winner plans to hang up his hi-vis.

“I nearly choked on my can of JD and Coke when I found out,” he said.

“This win means more time with my wife and kids after really struggling to be away from them.

“FIFO just about nailed me – it was a choice between my health and the money.”

Other winners included a Willetton family, a middle-aged couple from Hillarys and two lifelong friends from Guildford.
