WHEN first-home buyers Julieta and Lito Garces started looking for a place to build their first home, they knew they wanted a peaceful place where they could put down their roots with their seven-year-old son Keith.

The couple moved to Australia from the Philippines more than 10 years ago and when they started looking for their ideal location to call home, a friend suggested they visit Movida Estate in Midvale.

“Our friend Jonie recommended we look at Movida, where she is living now,” Mrs Garces said.

The estate’s location was the main attraction for the couple and they are looking forward to joining the growing Filipino community at Movida Estate.

“Movida is close to everything we need, with the park as well as schools and shops nearby,” Mrs Garces said.

“Keith will be going to Midvale Primary School, which is near to where our new home will be.”

After settling on their block last December, the family is about to start the process of building their new home.

“We are excited to see the house being built – it’s going to be a three-bedroom home with two bathrooms.”

“We haven’t yet met our neighbours, but we are looking forward to it and it’s nice to already have friends in the neighbourhood.”

Buyers wanting to make the move to Movida Estate have a limited time opportunity to save $13,000 off select blocks through the Score More with Peet campaign.
