Club raises cash for kids’ charity

Lynn GriersonHills Avon Valley Gazette

NORTHAM Race Club and Community TAB will join forces to raise much-needed funds for Give Me 5 for Kids charity at its annual Family Race Day next month.

The initiative is part of a new partnership program with every race club in WA to raise funds for a local, not-for-profit organisation.

Community TAB has agreed to match dollar for dollar raised funds " up to $5000 " at the Northam Family Race Day on Monday, June 1.

Racing and Wagering WA chairman Jeff Ovens said the partnership was an example of the strong connection race clubs had with their communities.
