Or at least as high as the hills of Lesmurdie.

Some of the Fremantle Dockers blew in with the afternoon Doctor to St Brigid’s campus one day last week to run a training session with the girls football team.

The college has been an integral part of school girls football in WA for many years under the guidance of coach Jim Miller, an avid Dockers fan himself.

St Brigid’s has two current WA state players, Asha Price (Under 16s and 18s) and Eliza Gelmi (Under 16s).

This is the 14th season St Brigid’s have played in the WAFL Secondary Schoolgirls competition. They have made the finals every year.

Up to 2009 there was one overall competition divided into zones. St Brigid’s were zone premiers on six occasions and WA premiers once, making the interzone finals series every year.

From 2009 the Elite Moore Division was established as a separate division with the top schools and colleges involved.

They have been selected for the Moore Division and have played in the finals each year.

St Brigid’s College have reached the WA grand final three times in the past four seasons, losing each time.
