MIDLAND boasts a 2016 Metro Football League premiership.

The Tigers proved too strong for the visiting Dwellingup team, winning 14.12 (96) to 11.5 (71) at Robinson Reserve, Tuart Hill.

Midland’s Brandon Rose was best on the ground, while other good players included Rose’s teammates James Edwards and Shane Pickett.

Vincent Pickett kicked seven goals for the Tigers while Jeff Yeatle booted five for Dwellingup.

Dwellingup’s best included Sean McMeekin, Todd Cooper and Scott Bockman.

In division 1, Queens Park defeated Warwick Greenwood 13.15 (93) to 8.5 (53).

Queens Park’s best included Jake Foster (best on the ground), Ricky Ninyette and Caleb Bolton.

Warwick Greenwood’s best players were Nick Williams, Matt Greenhouse and Jason Plowicz.
