The event will raise funds for Breast Cancer Network Australia and National Breast Cancer Foundation for research and to help support women and families affected by breast cancer.
Last year, the club raised about $1300 and wore pink socks donated by a local business. They are stepping up the annual fundraiser this year by decking out the senior team in all pink ” jumper, shorts and socks ” with added sponsorship from Bellevue company HAS Earthmoving.
There will be free bags of goodies for all mums in attendance, making them feel especially important on Mother’s Day. The major raffle prize on the day will be a framed pink jumper, signed by the Pickering Brook senior team.
Other prizes include a glamour photography session, pink body pampering products and pink car products.
The club is still looking for assistance from local businesses to boost its prize pool and donations on the day.
If you have something pink to donate, no matter how small, all will help make this day an important fundraiser for the two cancer foundations.
