Horsburgh scoops canopy pool

National champions and international competitors battled it out over nine jumps, with three rounds each of speed, distance and accuracy.

Canopy piloting involves skydivers swooping over a pool of water before they land.

York has the largest swoop pool in the southern hemisphere, providing spectators with some spectacular viewing.

Alex Horsburgh won the overall intermediate title, taking out all three categories.

He won selection to represent Australia in the World Cup of Canopy Piloting in Farnham, Canada, from August 23 to 29.
