READ NOWTwenty teams worked with teachers and some fathers to produce five go-carts per school.
Fifty metres of bunting defined the track and kept back the cheering Falls Road students.
Pit crews from each school team were on standby, modifying and tweaking the go-carts between each race.
Prizes of gift vouchers for the winning schools were donated by Bunnings Kalamunda, which also put on a sausage sizzle.
The go-carts will be dismantled, with materials recycled for next year’s classes.
