Third on the drivers’ table of the 4WD Western Australian Rally Championship (WARC), Markovic needs a win and a bit of luck to clinch the title.
To pull it off, current leader Garry Whittle would need to finish no higher than 12th in the safari rally, while second-placed Rob Webber would have to be restricted to third or lower.
“We’re going out there to win,” Markovic said.
“It’s as simple as that. I’m under no illusion this is going to be easy, but I’ve got a great team behind me and the best co-driver in WA by my side.”

“It would be great to finish the year on a high,” he said.
Markovic and Macneall are competing in their second season together and dominated the last round.
