Metro Football League hopefull Midland can enter second team

THE Metro Football League is hoping Midland Football Club can get a second team up for this season’s competition.

Midland’s second team last year won the division 2 grand final.

The club was established in 1903 and played in the amateurs in the 1940s and 1950s, the old Sunday league WAFA from the late 1950s to 1987, the Sunday Football League 1988-1996 and the Hills Football Association 1997-2001.

It has been in the Metro league since 2004.

The club trains Tuesday and Thursdays at North Swan Oval, Patterson Drive, Middle Swan, where it will host its round 1 clash with Warwick-Greenwood.

The club’s new coach is 200-game legend Guiseppe Tassone.
