‘There will be nothing more satisfying than seeing the senior Rhinos step onto the ground for their first game,’ he said.

‘Win, lose or draw ” it doesn’t make a difference.’

Mr Davidson said the 34 players ranged in age from 17 to 37, many of whom are fly-in fly-out workers.

‘They’ve outgrown juniors but are still young and fit, so the feedback we’ve got is that they’re loving the challenge,’ he said.

Club secretary and treasurer Michelle West said they were inspired by the concept of having players stick with the club for their whole football careers.

‘It’s tough to start from scratch, but we’ve had huge support from the Hills Football Association and Swan Districts Football Club,’ she said.

‘Our ultimate goal is to grow the game of football in Forrestfield.’

The Forrestfield Rhinos will play reigning premiers Gidgegannup Bulldogs at John Reed Oval tomorrow at 2pm.
