WE asked a number of Perth athletes what their most anticipated sporting events of 2018 are.

Danny Green, boxer
“Saul Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin rematch.”

Damian Martin, Perth Wildcats
“I’m looking forward to seeing Tim Cahill play in the 2018 World Cup. Hopefully the Socceroos can send out one of the greatest players to wear the jersey as a World Cup champion.”

Sam Kerr, Perth Glory
“The event I’m looking forward to most is the 2018 Asian Cup. To be a part of the Matildas squad again for the Asian Cup would be a dream come true. Hopefully Australia can bring the trophy home for the second time.”

Nat Medhurst, West Coast Fever
“I’m always a sucker for the Australian Open and Wimbledon and cheering on Roger Federer. As well as the NBA playoffs, which kick off in April.”

Andrew Tye, Perth Scorchers
“I’m most excited about the US Masters. I’m trying to figure out how I can get over there for it. But if I have to settle for the World Super 6 in Perth, I’ll still be happy.”
