Premier Cricket: Midland-Guildford look to revive flagging fortunes this weekend

Justin BianchiniHills Avon Valley Gazette

SECOND-last Midland-Guildford will look to revive their stagnating season when Premier Cricket resumes this weekend.

The Monkey Towners are away in back-to-back one-day fixtures over Saturday and Sunday from 11am.

Midland-Guildford head to Kingsway Reserve to face the 12th-placed Wanneroo on Saturday, before journeying south to fifth-placed Willetton at Burrendah Reserve on Sunday.

The side has struggled to take regular wickets with the ball, leaving them down in 15th spot at the halfway mark with only one win so far.

Keaton Critchell has been Midland-Guildford’s stand-out performer so far this season, with 290 runs at an average of 42.57.

The Monkey Towners have struggled without Tim Armstrong and Stewart Walters this campaign, but Corry Verco has joined for the back-half of the season from Mt Lawley.
